Posted : 3/17/2010 Comments : I have an African Grey. We are going to have our carpets cleaned (hot water only). We do have several doggy urine stains on the carpet and would like to treat the carpet for that as well. They use a pet enzyme treatment for pet odor and stains and that is not scented. Is that okay? They also have Dupont Teflon carpet protectant. What about that?...is that okay?

Posted : 9/30/2009 Comments : I have recently completed my internship and coursework for the CVA designation. I am currently working on a volunteer basis at the Montgomery County Animal Shelter with the Veterinarian who serves as director. I am seeking full time employment as a Vet Asst or Animal Handler.
I have loved animals since I was a small child, not just cats and dogs but snakes, lizards and ferrets. I feel that this is what I have been called to do the rest of my life. I am young, strong and dependable. I am available for work right away and I am willing to work any shift.
I look forward to meeting with you and discussing opportunities for employment with your practice. Please contact me by email or phone to arrange a time for me to come by and meet you in person.

Posted : 5/6/2009 Comments : My husband and I have been customers of Dr. Fronefield for many years. Dr. Fronefield has always taken excellent care of our babies and we owe him a lot of gratitude. Unfortuately we moved outside of Houston and it is harder to get to his client like we use to in the past.
Recently I had to bring my bird Zorro in because she was not acting right. Dr. Fronefield was out that day but Jessica Michalec, DVM attended to her, ran some tests and gave me some bad news. I was shocked about the results and wanted the best care I could get to help Zorro. Dr. Michalec was very gentle and caring and told me it would be better to keep Zorro over of observation. She tried to comfort me but was honest and told me the changes were not good. Unfortuately that afternoon my Zorro past away. I just wanted to thank Dr. Michalec for her care and kindness during that very difficult time.
I was and am heartbroken. Our home is very empty without our Zorro. We miss her voice and her funny dances.
We sincerely appreciate everything Dr. Michalec & ABC Animal & Bird Clinic did to save her.
I do want to say that we learned a very hard and valuable lesson that day. Never listen to other people or breeders about these rare and beautiful birds. Always trust your vet and take them in for their yearly exams. The guilt I will have to live with, the lesson I learned will last my lifetime.
Sincerely,
Joey & Diana Nelson
P.S. We also appreciate the gift we received in the mail the other day. We will cherish the heart with Zorro's name on it always. It is hanging in a special place in our home.
